Inschrijven Dames Onderlinge tot 15 april

Dearest Gentle Reader,

It has come to this author’s attention — through sources far too reputable to doubt— that a most spirited spectacle is soon to unfold.

Yes, indeed, The Annual Ladies Tennis Onderlinge is upon us once more.

In a turn of events that is sure to set tongues wagging, rackets swinging, and egos bruised, you are hereby summoned to participate whether your backhand is formidable or something closer to a limp handshake. Rumor has it that enthusiasm, laughter, and a flair for dramatic grunting will be considered perfectly acceptable compensations for skill.

Partners may be selected at will, and alliances formed, but beware: this court has ruined friendships more than any ballroom in the Ton.

Those wishing to participate in this most distinguished of tennis affairs may play until Tuesday, 13 October.

A festive gathering and award ceremony will be held on Wednesday, 14 October at 18:00. Do reserve the date.

As tradition dictates, competitors shall be placed into separate poules befitting their playing talent.

Do not be fooled, dear readers: one is judged by the strongest partner on the team, an arrangement that promises fair play and occasional stirring scandal.

Those wishing to register (and truly, who among you would dare miss such a spectacle?) may do so until Wednesday, 15 April, by sending word to the well-known address: [email protected].

Each team must provide the following particulars for both players:

• Name
• Playing level
• Telephone number
• Email address

A modest contribution of €7.50 per person shall later be collected via Tikkie.
